Since the release of "Red Wave - 4 Underground Bands from the USSR", in 1986, the Soviet system has changed immensely for rock bands. The line between "unofficial" and "official" has disappeared. Bands like the ones on "Red Wave" can still be independent but now they can make a living from their music. Victor Tsoi no longer hovels coal. He and his group, Kino, have immerged as the most popular rock group inn Russia. Of course there are still problems but fewer everyday. LONG LIVE CHANGE!
